Extract / Mount - Mounting
There are plenty of instances where games, movies, or whatever are transformed into images. These images are optimal because they can be instantly burned, mounted, or played (video). The most common formats you’ll run across are ISO and BIN.
SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive
One of my favorite companies, SlySoft, creates a product called the CloneDrive. What CloneDrive does is lets you mount an ISO or BIN file as if it were a CD/DVD. After mounting, you’ll be able to go look at your CD/DVD drives, and you’ll see a new device that CloneDrive has created which is a virtual CD/DVD drive, with the ISO/BIN you chose mounted.
Now you can simply double click on the drive and you’ll be able to access all the contents. This is especially useful for video games which need the game to be inserted into the CD/DVD drive. For a demonstration on how to use CloneDVD, watch the video below.
