Portable - GBA / NDS / 3DS
If you’ve ever wanted to be able to load roms onto your Nintendo Gameboy (GBA, DS, 3DS, etc), then look no further. We’re about to show you just how easy and simple it can be. All you’ll need is a simple tool can a flash cart/card which can be purchased quite cheaply!
Flash Cart/Card
A flash cart/card is a device that slides right into the game slot of your Gameboy and then loads up its own software. Usually, the flash cart has a little slot for a SD card of some sort, and that’s where you load the rom’s. Some flash carts even support playing music, videos, etc. But we’re not going to cover that, just rom’s.
GBA – Super Card
The Super Card is the flash cart I had back in the day, for my GBA. I’m not sure where you can buy it nowadays, but you can still find information on it here. Below is a video I did years ago that shows playing a NES game on the GBA. The GBA games play exactly the same. Just wanted to show that you can also easily play NES games because the GBA can’t do that natively.
NDS / 3DS – R4i SDHC
The R4I SDHC is the flash cart I personally use. I’m sure there are plenty of others out there that are just good (and some are probably better), but in general they all work the same. Here are some things you’ll want to know about the R4i SDHC (NDS version – as that is what I have) :
- Support SDHC micro sd cards (4GB、8GB、16GB、32GB).
- Support NDS and iDS games. DS games can run on any DS versions.
- Multi-languages are optional, they are Simplified Chinese, complicated Chinese, English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spainish and Dutch.
- Game compatibility: 100%.
- Support clean rom and drag-drop to play. Fast loading.
