Wifi Network - Introduction

Wireless networks are all the rage nowadays. Practically any device you buy will come with Wi-Fi built in already for you. Even printers are already equipped with Wi-Fi so that you can automatically connect to them via a wireless network without actually having to plug them into router.

Wireless Networks

Most people don’t realize how many wireless devices are around us at all times. You may never even use the wireless capabilities of any of the devices you offer, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there as an option. Heck, you may never even OWN a wireless device, yet Wi-Fi is continuously being used around you. For instance, whether you live in an apartment or a house, if you aren’t out in the country but rather living relatively close to others then there is already a good chance one of them has a wireless network that is being actively used.

For these reasons, wireless has been one of the biggest and most prime targets when it comes to attacks from outside forces, and it will continue to remain that way for a long time to come. Whether we define the functionality as wireless forever doesn’t really matter. The point is that cables are bad, wireless is good. That won’t go away, especially as we get faster and faster speeds over wireless so that we are no longer restricted.
